Columbia BT, formerly known as Mr. Bigg Time, is making his return to the music game with a fresh start and image. After a very successful single, "Check My Footwork", Columbia BT is back to prove his haters and naysayers wrong while continuing to deliver his fans more quality street music. After taking a step back from music to focus on family and other ventures, Columbia BT decided it was best for him to start fresh, hence the name change. Mr Bigg Time was a name that more so represented the struggle as he transitioned and developed as an artist. Columbia BT represents more of his current mindset, the hustle.
Columbia BT is currently working on a brand new mixtape entitled, Southside Jefe, which is scheduled to be released June 15 of this year. With the support from some of the industry's biggest djs such as, Dj Greg Street and the world famous and Hoodrich's own Dj Swamp Izzo, the mixtape is sure to set the streets on fire. The first single off the project is entitled "Man in My City" and features popular rap artist, Rocko. The song is a street anthem and it is Columbia BT's way of letting the world know that no matter what, he is still the man in his city and that he is here to stay. When asked how he felt about the upcoming project, he replied, "I feel great! I have worked with a lot of artists that started with a strong independent hustle and that have the same grind and hustle as I. This tape is bringing the fun and story telling back to the game that the people and streets can relate too". Southside Jefe will include features from Rocko, Gucci Mane, Young Scooter, Shawty Lo and more. June 15th his fans can surely expect the same quality street music just with a different name from Columbia BT.
